Shaykh Shaqur delivers Jummah khutbah at Kilburn Islamic Centre

Alhamdulillah, many of our Mashaykh are very active in delivering the Friday sermon in various masajid in the country. Last week, Kilburn Islamic Centre had the honour of hosting Shaykh Shaqur Rehman, for Friday's Khutbah on the topic of "The Characteristics of Success."

It was truly an inspiring and insightful reminder that is beneficial for people of all ages and background. His main characteristics of success was based on one action that many people find difficult to control, ‘Anger’. He mentions; ‘On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه): “A man said to the Prophet, ‘Give me advice.’ The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, ‘Do not get angry.’ The man asked repeatedly and the Prophet answered each time, ‘Do not get angry.’” [Bukhari & Muslim]

Shaykh Shaqur expanded on this Hadith and narrated a thought provoking story about a father teaching his son how to control his ‘anger’.
