Run and Raise!

Sabeel students and Mashayekh ran 5k to raise donations for the Pakistan floods

MRDF congratulates the Mashayekh and some of the Sabeel students who took the initiative to participate at the East London Mosque Annual 5K Charity Run, at Victoria Park, to raise much needed funds for the Pakistan floods.

Sabeel students started a general donation page a few months ago to help raise funds for the victims of this devastating flood, that dismantled families, broke away homes and damaged live stock. Families are still struggling to rebuild their homes.

After contacting their friends and family to help support the cause, Sabeel students took the challenge to participate at the 5K run. The students trained really hard to get ready for this challenge as they were fully committed to training everyday, which paid off as they all achieved excellent completion times. One brother completed the race in 21 minutes and 33 seconds mashaAlla, tabarakAllah.
