Sabeel’s gone North

Sabeel’s Second Retreat held in Northern UK

Alhamdulillah! Amidst the picturesque landscapes of the UK's northern realms, a beacon of spiritual enlightenment shone brightly as the second successful retreat unfolded. Guided by the Shaykh Shaqur Rahman, this retreat delved deep into the topic of Sabeel Foundations, building an in-depth understanding of the framework of Islamic knowledge.

Approximately 40 attendees, spanning from Manchester, Leeds, Bradford, Rochdale, Halifax, and even a few Londoners embarked on a transformative journey of growth.

It’s sometimes a huge dilemma when it comes to knowing where to start one’s Islamic studies. Do you start with Qur’an reading, Arabic Language, the Science of Hadith, Tarsier, etc? Sabeel Foundations module clears this dilemma by giving one a holistic understanding.

As these retreats are knowledge focus, it wasn’t merely long lectures, listening and making notes, but rather the students engaged in thought-provoking discussions and reflections, showing great understanding of the topic.

The 'Krypton Factor' games, also challenged their mental and strategic skills, problem solving, team work and fun physical activities that served to keep a balance during the weekend.

Sabeel Retreats have always made immense impact on individuals and that is not just because its courses are great, but rather the close connection the students build with the MRDF scholars during the weekend. The mashayekh are the pillars of these retreats that makes lasting impression and impact for students.

We ask Allah to preserve our mashayekh and grant them the best of both worlds. Ameen
