Ramadan 1445 has arrived

🌙️ Welcoming The Blessed Month of Ramadan! 🌙️

Alhamdulillah, Allah has blessed us with another Ramadan where we get the chance to cleanse our sins, draw closer to Allah and gain taqwa.

Allah says in Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 183:
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
"O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous." This verse beautifully encapsulates the essence of Ramadan, emphasising the spiritual growth and righteousness that fasting instills in individuals.

Abu Huraira (ra) narrated, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of the heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are chained." [Bukhari]

This profound Hadith serves as a reminder of the immense blessings and opportunities for spiritual elevation that come with the arrival of Ramadan.

As we embark on a month-long journey of fasting from dawn until sunset, engaging in increased acts of worship, and striving for self-improvement and positive change. Ramadan is not merely about abstaining from food and drink; it is a holistic approach to purifying the soul, nurturing empathy for others, and strengthening one's connection to Allah.

May Allah grant us all blessings, allow us to gain taqwa, engage in righteous actions and forgive all our shortcomings. Ameen ya rab! 🤲

MRDF wishes you and your family a blessed Ramadan Mubarak!
