Historian delivers seminar at the Family Retreat

MRDF researcher Ustadh Kashif Zakiuddin (Historian), delivered a seminar at the Family Retreat Winter Break 2021, on the topic of Resisting Colonial Empire. Ustadh Kashif presented an interactive session on the heroes of the anti-colonial struggle. Some of the discussions covered a timeline of the different colonial powers and various heroes who fought against them, what was special about their movement, what legacy they left behind, how Islam features in the movement and much more. It was astonishing to see the audience engage with such curiosity and attentiveness, alhamdulillah! A well received seminar delving into parts of islamic history which many are unaware of.
